This highly regarded professional learning day outlining the fundamental skills required of all ACT public school teachers is back! Adapted from Education Queensland’s Essential Skills for Classroom Management, the skills have been validated by the informed practice of teachers across Australia for over a decade. Essential Skills for Classroom Teachers are crucial for effective behaviour management leading to more time teaching and learning ultimately improving student outcomes. Effective classroom management strategies establish quality environments where high levels of intellectual quality and significance are generated improving academic and social outcomes for students
